Congratulations to Queensferry Parish Church, South Queensferry for achieving an Eco-Congregation Award
Queensferry Parish Church have been a registered Eco-Congregation for more than 3 years.
They demonstrate very impressively a Christian ethos in action and a sense of collective leadership involving several members of the congregation.
Different groups in the congregation and people of different ages, including the Girls' and the Boys' Brigade, the Anchor Boys, the Faitrade Group and others are strongly involved in the environmental work of the congregation.
The variety of work they have undertaken, including practical work to reduce energy use, caring for the grounds; international work with a community in Chogoria, Kenya; work with other churches to promote fair-trade in South Queensferry, with the Bethany Fresh Start show a wide ranging and active commitment to caring for creation in the broadest sense.
A project, in which several banners, showing the commitment of the church to different causes, is particularly impressive, both in the active involvement of young people and in the quality of the product.
Congratulations to your Eco-Congregation Award!
